Dragons etc
Well, of course they're still amongst us, we just can't see them.
Why? Because they can be seen only in peripheral vision. It's like looking at a star - notice how it's brighter when you start to look away, and then when you look back, it's gone a bit dull? That's how dragons work.
They're all around us - although a few of them have flown into wind farms lately, so the numbers are down a bit. But generally they're doing OK and aren't as endangered as sabre-tooth harpies or the lesser known brown spotted mogwai.

They also tend to hide under the couch, or behind the fridge. :-)
They also steal socks from the washing machines.
Oh hang on, that's a Grendl doing that.
Is that the same beast that likes to weave clothes hangers into gordian macrame?
