The model child

I always declared I would not put my baby on the stage, and yet...

I was with (incredibly proud) Ma yesterday in a certain shopping centre, when a woman from a "talent" agency approached us and asked if she could take Jr's photo, to win a modelling contract with her agency. She had a booth set up, biz cards, loads of books of kids on their list, so it was fair dinkum on that respect. (Not someone collecting for the next kiddie pron ring) Ma was delighted, Jr hogged the camera and it was all over in a few seconds.

Here's the tosh: If Jr "wins" he'll get signed up, but if he doesn't, they'll contact us anyway and want to sign him - probably for a hefty fee. I reckon it's just a way to part me from cash.

There's a rube born every minute, and yesterday it was me.
