The girl can cook

Home cookin'

Just thought you should know, Hubbs and I are having real food tonight.
Mongolian lamb with home grown eggplant - a single, solitary eggplant from the whole summer :-(
and home-grown orange capsicum (loads of them) and whatever else I could find at the bottom of the vege bin.

Notice home-grown garnish: coriander, Vietnamese mint, and a side splash of cucumber and mint.

Told me something

Fancy that (well I do! Looks damn fine tucker, even if you do ay yourself!). As it happened I knocked up (in the non-procreative sense, I hasten to add) off've the top of me bonce, an eggplant dish last night.

First catch your eggplant, (sneaking up on the dark and devilishly skilled garden camouflagers before they hear your approaching footstepford wives of bath) slice and fry as per default eggplant preparation. Then chop fried slices into quarters. Layer with ("something I repaired earlier with a tube of araldite") a mix (some wankers might say 'melange') of yoghurt, honey and cinnamon.

Light blue touch paper and retire.

Port and cigars in the billiard rooms after. (Coal tablets provided for the flatulent.)

As a participant of several Karma Burnt dinners, I can confirm the grrrl can cook like a dream.
